ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 28TH
Birthdays and Celebrations this week– Wed., July 1–Mary Hope Coffield This week at Second Congregational Church– Today, following worship–Please join us for a time of fellowship and refreshment in Webster Hall. An auction for fabulous desserts will be held to benefit the Youth Group’s Mission Trip to Maine next month. Come and bid on deliciousness and help the kids! –The Fund-raising Committee will meet immediately following worship in Room 6. 5 p.m. Sunday Supper Next Sunday, July 5–The Rev. Dr. Jerry Handspicker will be leading worship, and the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated. AND the Youth Group Mission trip leaves for Calais, Maine between 8 and 9 a.m. Come early and send them off with our love and prayers! (They’ll be back late afternoon July 10.) Back by Popular Request–Hymns of Choice! During the months of July and August, we will be having one of the hymns during worship as a “request”hymn, so pick up a form on the table outside the sanctuary, write down your requests, and return the sheet to the office. Would you consider “working a day” for Second Congregational Church? If you would like to donate to the deficit consider “Working a Day for Second Congregational Church” where you can donate a day’s pay. Checks can be placed in the weekly collection plates or leave at the office at any time. Please note what the check is for so that we can keep an accurate accounting. Thanks. The Fund Raising Committee Do you have flowers coming in your garden? Sign up on the Flower Chart in Webster Hall for a Sunday in July and share them in worship with the congregation.
