ANNOUNCEMENTS for the week of September 5th
BIRTHDAYS AND CELEBRATIONS this week-- Today - Mickey Marchetti, 10, Monday - Owen Hansen, 8 Monday - Natalie and Bob Seale celebrate their 58th anniversary, Wednesday - Charlie Dobson, 7,Thursday - Jami Mathers, 12, Saturday - Cass Roy This week at Second Congregational Church: Following worship, please join us for a time of fellowship and refreshment in Webster Hall. 5 p.m. Sunday Supper Southwest Association Prayers for our churches - Sudbury Congregational Church. Fellowship Luncheon will be Wednesday, September 8th at noon. Please come and join friends for lunch, conversation and companionship in Webster Hall. Lunch is provided by members of the congregation. If you would like help and or bring a dish to share, sign up on the luncheon sign up sheet, which is located on the bulletin board with the Sunday Supper Information. Thank You. Handbell Choir and Adult Choir start back up Thursday, September 9th. Handbells at 6pm and Choir at 7:15pm. Calling all Children and Youth, Next Sunday is Rally Sunday to start the year off for Godly Play and Youth Classes. Middle and High school youth group will be meeting from 6-8pm on the 12th as well. Please sign up for one of the following: Bring in an item to share during Sunday Fellowship. Scripture Reading for September or October Bring in Flowers to share during September or October The only items remaining that school kits need are scissors, rulers and pencil sharpeners. The Memorial Scholarship Fund
has been set up in Ian Nicol's name. Please make checks payable to Ian S. Nicol Scholarship Fund and mail them in care of Laura Ashbrook, 205 Washington Avenue, Bennington, VT 05201. Bottle drive continues...please bring your bottles and cans to Foster's Bottle Return on Benmont street and tell them it is for "Ian Nicol memorial scholarship fund". Please remember to remove the pull tabs from the cans before you return them to Fosters. The pull tabs are being collected to make bracelets. The proceeds from the sale of the bracelets will be put into the scholarship fund. Thank you.
