Who can use the library:
The Second Congregational Church library is a resource for the community as well as for the congregation. All who visit the church are welcome to browse and read and all those living in the area may borrow books.
Borrowing books:
Books may generally be borrowed for four weeks. Books on the current year’s Women’s Fellowship Reading List, however, should be returned in two weeks.
Find the book’s card in the packet inside the back cover.
- Put the date it is due back (normally four weeks from the day borrowed) in the first column.
- Print or write a legible name under “BORROWERS NAME.”
- If you are not a church member, put your telephone number in the third column under “ROOM NO.” If you don’t have a telephone number (or prefer to be unlisted) write an address or other contact information on the lines under the one your name is on.
- Put the card in the box right after the alphabet card that gives the first letter of the author’s last name.
Returning books:
Please do not re-shelve books. Put them in the red basket.
